General Information

This year's tournament for U9 through U14 age groups will again be ONE DAY:
Girls travel teams will play on Saturday, October 8th
Boys travel teams will play on Sunday, October 9th

ALL AGE GROUPS WILL BE BASED UPON THE CALENDAR YEAR RULE AS PER FALL 2016 US SOCCER RULES

Teams are guaranteed three (3) games. The entry fee for U9 through U12 teams is $475 and U13 through U14 teams is $500. Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and e-check payments.

There will be morning and afternoon sessions.
AM sessions can run from 8 AM to 2 PM.
PM sessions can run from 2 PM to 10:30 PM which would be played under the lights.

 

Teams will be seeded into groups of 4, with major, intermediate, and minor brackets offered whenever possible.  The North Hempstead Cup reserves the right to combine age groups, if appropriate and to create alternate bracket groupings based on availability and level of teams participating. This is a patch exchange tournament. Teams are expected to have an adequate number of team patches to exchange with opposing team players and coaches after each game. U9 through U12 age groups will play 50 minute games and U13 through U14 age groups will play 60 minute games. Food and beverages will be available at all venues.

 

Refunds will not be given to teams who withdraw after rejections and/or acceptances have been mailed.

 

The application deadline is Wednesday, September 21st.
After that, teams will be put on a waitlist.

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS 

All participating teams must be properly registered and in good standing with the USYSA (or national equivalent) and sanctioned by their state or national soccer association.  Only Club Teams with a maximum of three (3) guest players are accepted.  Each team must submit a Team Roster approved by the League, Club President, Registrar, or designated officer at the time of registration. 

 

All out of state teams must present permission-to-travel forms approved by their state / national association at registration.

 

All teams must also present a medical release form for each rostered and/or guest player at Registration.

 

All players must be born in the year of their age classification or later.  Player registration cards duly authorized by a team’s state or national soccer association or equivalent shall be required as proof of age and eligibility. 

 

No player is allowed to be registered with more than one team or to transfer from one team to another during the tournament. Guest players will be allowed with up to a maximum of 3 guest players playing with the purpose of maintaining a team’s competitiveness.  Players from the same Club but not rostered to the team will be considered a guest.

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER REFUND POLICY

Should the tournament be canceled in its entirety due to weather conditions, teams will receive an 80% refund of their registration fee.

Team Registration

Tournament registration will be held on Tuesday evening, October 4th at Clinton G. Martin Park located at 1650 Marcus Avenue in New Hyde Park. Registration will take place from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A requirement of acceptance is that you must enter your team roster online. If you have not already done so or you need to update your information, log in to your team account at www.soccerscheduler.com/teams and click on the roster tab. Your online roster will be used to expedite your team registration.
 
You or a team representative must attend registration night with the following items:
 2 copies of your team roster which must be printed from your team page at Soccer Scheduler.
Player Passes (carded players) or Birth Certificates (non-carded players).
Medical Release forms (must be current calendar year).
Any APPROVED Permission to Travel form (if needed).

Any APPROVED guest player forms.

 
Please note that food and beverages will be available at all venues.
